IT Services will be performing server maintenance on the anti-spam email appliances on June 21st at 7:00 AM and there may be a short delay in processing the incoming mail. If you have any questions or experience any problems please contact Service Desk at ext.4440.
IT Services will be performing an update and testing on the campus firewalls Tuesday June 26 from 6:00-7:00am. The update from the vendor contains enhancements that will allow the University to leverage additional capabilities of the firewalls.
As a consequence of this update, the Blackboard downtime Tuesday will be extended to 2 hours, lasting from 5:30-7:30am. Services using the UwinCARD will also be affected, such as Food Services, GoPrint, vending machines and laundry in Residence. Additional services affected include VPN service and VoIP phones.
The testing may additionally result in secure websites not working correctly intermittently until 7:00am.
If you experience any network problems after 8:00am, please contact the IT Service Desk at ext. 4440.
There have been an increased number of phishing emails sent out on campus. Please make sure that if you receive emails that look suspicious with links or attachments, do not open them and delete the email; contacting IT about an email you are unsure of is also a good option.
